The condition you describe is commonly experienced by people who have corneal scars!. We can suffer an injury to the surface of the eye without necessarily realizing it has happened!. Do you recall having the sensation of something foreign in your eye before you noticed this change in your vision!? It may have been a problem for a day or two and then went away!. Since the cornea is one of the fastest healing tissues in the human body, minor injuries will usually heal in about 24 hours!. Once an injury has healed you might be left with a surface defect on the cornea that distorts your vision in exactly the way you describe - but this is not the only possible explanation!.

Do you see a "halo" effect around a light source at night - like a street light for example!? That could be further evidence of a corneal scar or defect!. I have several scars on my corneas from the effects of a genetic disorder, and what you describe is what I live with very day!. If this is troubling to you I would recommend that you see an ophthalmologist soon!. Please do not consult an optometrist!. Ophthalmologists are medical doctors who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and injuries, while optometrists are specialists in prescribing corrective lenses and the like!. One thing I have learned from personal experience is to not take chances with my eyes, and I hope you will seek a medical opinion about your situation!. While an injury, most likely a minor one, is most likely responsible for your current eye problems, there could be a disease behind it as well, and it is always advisable to have that checked out!. Corneal defects can have many different causes and many are easily treated!.

Of course I am not a doctor, so this is at best a guess!. Please consult a medical doctor, even your family physician, and get the right answer!. Don't mess with your eyes - it isn't worth the needless worry to put off an eye exam when you can get the answers and resolve the problem!.

Best of luck to you!. Please get the answers you deserve - from a professional!. It can put your mind to rest and most likely resolve the issue!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you're seeing double, that means that your eyes aren't working well together!. This could be for any number of reasons, and you need to see your eye doctor!. You might need correction for just one eye!. If your blood sugar has been high lately, you might want to get your retinas rechecked, but there are usually no symptoms of blurred vision for diabetic retinopathy!.

It could possibly be due to the lack of sleep!. Your eyes might not be focusing as well as they usually do!. Try getting a good night's rest, and if it's still going on, go to an optometrist!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

you are crossing your eyes!.
and when you cross your eyes you see double!.
you can only see double if you can see out of both eyes so when you close one then it automatically goes away!.
and yes if you haven't gotten much sleep it can easily happen without you realizing it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like a medical problem!. An eye doctor would be the first place I'd go!. He could then recommend other options if necessary!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
