What does CYL mean on an eyeglass prescription?!

Question: What does CYL mean on an eyeglass prescription!?
I got my eyeglass prescription and I am trying to order my prescription online!. I think I have everything figured out except for under the CYL on my prescription the doctor wrote SPHERE!. On the online order form, there is no option for that, it is only a bunch of numbers or PLANO or INFINITYWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Why don't you call your doctor and ask !.!.!.!.!.!. oh wait, you're taking away his business!.!.!.!.lol

Cyl means amount of astigmatism!. If there is no number there then it means zero or plano!. When he wrote sphere in there it just means no cyl!.

So, put plano in the online boxWww@Answer-Health@Com

A glasses prescription usually contains 3 parts: The first part is the spherical part that says if you are nearsighted (-) or farsighted(+)!.
The second part is the amount of astigmatism correction and the last last part is the axis in which the astigmatism is oriented!. If the doctor wrote SPHERE in the CYL part, it simply means you have no astigmatism correction!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
