Can you wear contacts even if you have a high prescription?!

Question: Can you wear contacts even if you have a high prescription!?
I've had a high prescription since I was twelve!. It's on the increase, and now, as a teenager, I'm hoping to be able to wear contacts!. I was just wondering, though, is there a prescription limit for wearing contacts!? Can people with high prescriptions wear contacts like everyone else!? Thanks in advance!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You can get soft contacts in a prescription up to -14!.00 or so, in certain brands!. If you have astigmatism, you can also wear soft lenses, but they will be expensive!. If you're farsighted, there are contacts up to about +10!.00 that I've seen, but they might make them higher!. Those usually have to be custom made, and are incredibly thick!. If soft lenses don't work, there are always RGP, or hard lenses, that the doctor designs custom for your eyes!. They're harder to get used to, but are a good alternative for really difficult prescriptions!. I've even seen patients who wear a hard contact over a soft one in the same eye, but that's usually after a cornea transplant or a botched lasik!.

Your eyes are going to continue to get worse until you're in your 20's usually!. Then you can get lasik, but make sure it's from a good surgeon!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
