Ah - grats on getting contacts!. They're a burden at first, but once you get used to them, you'll really be glad you got them!.
Haha, yes, you can eat with them!. Unless you stick the food in your eye!. =O
You cannot sleep with them!. This can severely damage or scratch your eye!.
You can walk, talk and breathe with them!.
You can chew gum, take pictures, and close your eyes with them!.
The only thing you really can't do with contacts is sleep with them!. Some people choose not to swim with them, and some choose to!. It all depends on if you are prone to opening your eyes under the water!. I wear my contacts because my eyes are always shut tight in the water!.
Remember to change the solution every day and wash your hands before putting them in/taking them out!. Don't rush or you might lose one!. Take your time and don't pressure yourself!. Putting them in will come easily over time if you are patient with yourself!.

I've been wearing contacts for a few years now!. The only thing I try not to do with them is sleep!. When I do and I wake up, the contacts feel dry and my eyes feel really droopy and I have to take them out for a while!. My doctor told me you should give your eyes a rest from them a few hours everyday!. He suggested to take them out a couple hours before bed every night because your eyes need time without them to "breathe!." Showering and swimming is fine unless you open your eyes under the water, then they might come out!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just keep the case and the solution and a mirror handy incase you get soap, shampoo, or conditioner in them, because if you do it will sting!.

but it's only if you stare directly at the shower head, which I doubt anyone does!.

Without looking at the complete list, I'd say there are certain contacts with whom you might want to shower, but you'll have to decide how modest you want to be!. Fully nude showering can lead to other things!

You can do whatever you want with them on!. Including sleep!. I have Acuvue and sleep with mine in for a week straight!. Take them out for a night and put the same pair right back in!. After the second week they get thrown out!. I have been doing this since I was 12 and I am now 25 without any problems and no infections!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

me and my friend are swimmers, and we even go to practice with our contacts in!.and sleep in them like in class and at night if we sleep over!.

Not around heat, soap, during allergy moments and some other things!. Yeah, you can use them for most of the things you mentioned!. Take them out before going to bed though, put them in a contact case definitely with some contact solution often!. Buy some and read the instructions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can do everything with your contacts in!. You shouldn't sleep with them on!. If you shower with them on, make sure you keep your eyes shut as the water getting into you eyes might flush it out!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
I would not advise sleeping but everything else is ok, showering is ok, just be careful you don't wash them out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
