What should i be worried about?!
Question: What should i be worried about!?
I am getting eye sugery on Tuesday and im getting put down under!. i have a bump that is rubbing against my tear dot which makes my eye water, and it is affecting my vision!. I will have to be in the hospital 2 hourrs prior to surgery for a pre opt!. and i need eye drops and anesthesia!. please tell me what i should look forward to, wear, be worried about thank youWww@Answer-Health@Com

Well, I didn't have the same surgery as you but I had retinal surgery and not to scare you but i'll be honest in what happens!.
the minute they call you back for pre-op you will have to change into a gown and get your vitals taken, the thing on your finger for your pulse i believe and then you will be put in a little section to wait for the nurse to do the anethesia!. nurses will come in an out asking you questions that you don't want to answer because youre nervous!.
hopefully you will get a good nurse anesthesist that will be able to get the IV in your arm/hand easily!. if not tell them to use a baby needle because it hurts like heck when they miss!.
they will start running just liquid through you and when you are ready to go in they will put you on the bed in the OR and start putting heart monitors (the sticky things) on your stomach and chest and you will start to get a little delusional (i actually got kinda silly and was asking stupid questions to the dr!. and people) and if you are talking you eventually wont be able to anymore and its scary but it goes fast!. it's such a weird feeling and that was the scariest part for me!.
when they are don e they will start waking you up (like taking the drugs away) and depending how you're body is you may get nauseous from the anethesia!. but when you wake up youre just really groggy and the nurses try to shove food and drink down your throat!. when you are able to be awake and stable they will let you go home!.

all i have to say is stay cool!.!. i had surgery but not there i had like 3 or 4 of them!. twice on my left leg!. once on my right arm and last one is on my neck it still hurts but you'll get over it!.!.
