I had it done!. It's not that scary, but it depends on your personality!. If you are easily scared, then yeah, it's probably terrifying!. But they do give you vallium to calm you down!. And it doesn't hurt!. And the operation is quick, if a bit awkward!. My recommendation is don't think about it and don't try to figure out what they are doing!.

Is my vision 100%!.!.!. no!. It's not!. It is better than it was with contacts, worse than it was with glasses!. You can't expect perfect vision!. You may get it, but you may not!. Mine is good enough and I'm plenty happy with it!.

As with all surgeries, there are risks associated with it!. If you don't understand the risks or are not comfortable with them, then don't do it!. You absolutely need to do some research on the risks, on your own!. There are lots of good resources out there, but I would start with government websites, as they will be unbiased (anything ending in !.gov instead of !.com)!. The main risks are that you will not get perfect vision or may even lose vision!. The risk of losing vision is slight, but real!. The other main risks are dry eye and night vision problems!. You have to expect your eyes will be permanently drier after surgery!. For most people, it is only slightly drier!. For some, it is a big issue!. For me, it's not a big problem, but it is annoying and I have to use eye drops occasionally when I wake up!. You also have to expect your night vision (esp!. while driving) to be worse, with halos and streaks coming from lights!. This can be really bad, but is usually not that bad!. For me, it is no worse than it was with contacts!.

There are some other risks depending on the exact procedure!. I had PRK done!. PRK is not that common, as everyone gets LASIK!. But in my mind, PRK is a better procedure!. You get slightly better results, with lower risk and much less risk of long term problems!. The reason LASIK is so popular is because you get faster results (full vision in a day or two instead of a week) and there is less pain over the week following surgery!. PRK is often recommended for people with thin corneas or physical lifestyles (there is a risk that the flap in the eye can get dislodged years later if you get hit in the eye)!. To me, the pain (which was minimal) and longer recovery time was well worth the reduced risk and possible better results!. Make sure you ask about both procedures and LASEK too!.

No one but you can decide if eye surgery is a good choice for you!. But make sure you understand the risks and have a long conversation with the doctor about those risks!. And find a doctor you trust!. For me, it was the right decision and I'm glad I did it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't do it--that's my recommendation!.!.!.but, if u decide just visit three sites cross check them with the better business bureau, ask for references-at least 10 from each and read up on the procedure in medical journalsWww@Answer-Health@Com
