Question: Does it hurt to touch your eye when placing contacts!?
I brought some two week disposable contact lenses and want to try my trial new look and I am excited but this will be my first time using them ever!!!! I am scared of it hurting and touching my eye!Www@Answer-Health@Com

No it doesn't hurt once you are used to it!. That takes practice!. When I first started wearing contact lenses, I had to learn how to put them in without flinching!. Once I mastered that, putting in contact lenses became a breeze!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It doesn't hurt, but when you first try putting them in, it can be difficult to not blink while you are doing it!.
Putting contacts in for the first time is hard - your eye expects it to hurt and it can be hard to hold it open, until you get used to putting them in!. If it takes quite a few tries (it took me a lot!) - don't worry, you will get it eventually!.
And remember hygiene - wash your hands well with soap before putting them in or taking them out and don't use them for longer than recommended!. Eye infections are nasty!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was grossed out by the thought of touching my eye to put them in, but I really wanted them, so my parents got me some for my 14th birthday years ago!. I would suggest practicing touching your eye with your fingers first, just to get used to it!. Make sure to wash your hands with a mild soap before and after though!. I did this for a week prior to getting my contacts and it helped significantly, but I had to have the doctor actually put the contacts in my eye the first time!! The first time taking them out is rough!. One of mine got "lost" in the corner of my eye and I freaked out a little, but it came back!. I needed a mirror to put them in and take them out at first, but now I don't even need one at all!. You'll get so used to them that you won't even know they're there!. It is more weird than anything!. I have been wearing them for years with no pain, besides when I got other stuff in my eye, and that can happen without contacts!.
Taking them out is more weird I thought, you kinda have to pinch them!. It only takes one or two times to get used to it!.

Did your eye doctor not show you how to insert and remove them!? If not, you need to go back and have them train you!. You can and will damage your eye if you've never put a contact lens in!. Training is necessary!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
