Can blind people see the color black?!

Question: Can blind people see the color black!?
If you close your eyes, you see nothing but black (the back of your eyelids) Do blind people observe this or do they just not have the sense of sight at all!? Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
No!. If they're 100% blind they're not going to be 'seeing' the back of their eyelids!. Closing our eyes doesn't make us blind, it just filters out some of the light!.

It's unlikely that they'd understand/perceive the concept of the 'colour' 'black' in the first place (it's worth mentioning though, that very few people are actually 100% blind)!.

The colour black usually corresponds with an absence of light which I think is why you're confused, but 'blackness' is an inherently VISUAL experience!.

A more interesting question would be: Do blind people see in their dreams!? And WHAT do they see!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Some blind people can recognize a bit of light, but are considered legally blind!. But for those that are completely blind, imagine what your finger sees!. Does it see black!? No!. It just doesn't see!. Same is true with the blind!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
