I feel relaxed whenever I slightly cross my eyes. Do I need glasses?!

Question: I feel relaxed whenever I slightly cross my eyes!. Do I need glasses!?
During an exam last year I found it almost impossible to concentrate due to the fact that my eyes strained with every word that I read!. My doctor told me I was just irritated by allergies!.

Several months have passed, and my eyes don't feel as strained anymore when I read, but very often my eyesight will begin to cross and the resulting blurred vision feels much more natural and comfortable!.

Does this mean I need glasses!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You might have hyperopia ( http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/hyperopia ), which is the opposite of short sightness!. This means that you may still be able to see, because your eyes make up for your refractive error using your lens, but seeing like that will strain your eyes, and once your lens' refractive power diminishes beyond a certain point due to presbyopia ( http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/presbyopia ) you will have to wear glasses full time!. For now, go to an optometrist and make sure he or she dilates your pupil so that you won't be able to compensate for your refractive error!. Also, make sure you get someone to drive you there and back home as you won't see very well!. Get some sunglasses, as you can get quite light sensitive after the dilation!.
If it turns out you do need glasses, then (depending upon your prescription and the doctor's recommendation) you won't have to wear them full time, but it will greatly reduce the strain on your eyes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
