Blood vessel growing into iris?!

Question: Blood vessel growing into iris!?
Good morning all!. I am a contact wearer and use night and days, which can be worn to bed!. I will admit that sometimes I do not change them as often as I should and I think I may be reaping the consequences of my actions, or lack thereof as the case may be!. I went to bed last night with a mild eye irritation in one eye (felt like I might have an eyelash in it) that burned a bit when I flushed the eye with contact solution!. As I was not in a position to take my contacts out, I went to bed thinking it would go away and woke up this morning with moderate to severe pain in that eye!. I had issues driving home as lights and wind made the pain worse!. When I got home, I promptly removed my contacts thinking I cut my eye and the pain usually subsides as soon as I take my contact out!. As it did not lessen in the slightest, I checked my eye for signs of a cut and noticed that I have a blood vessel that appears to be growing into my iris!. It may stop just short of it, but as far as my naked eyes can see, it's right at the brink of my iris!. Has anyone experienced something like this before!? My plan at the moment is to see if the pain subsides a bit before making a call to my eye doctor!. Will I seriously regret this decision later!? What are the possible causes/treatments for this problem!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Look up Cornea Neovascularization!. This might be what is happening!. It is usually caused by over use of contact lenses!. You need to see your doctor ASAP!. This is serious!. Complications from this can lead to blindness!. Call your Doctor NOW!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Visit your eye doctor and stop wearing the contacts for a while!
