Is it okay to wear normal contact lenses? (I have astigmatism)?!

Question: Is it okay to wear normal contact lenses!? (I have astigmatism)!?
One of my mates has astigmatism and she wears normal contact lenses and she says it's the same whatever lenses she wears (ones for astigmatism and the normal ones)!. Her eyesight is worse than mine btw!.
I too have astigmatism and contact lenses for astigmatism are double the price and I want daily disposables!.

So my question is, is it okay to wear normal contact lenses even though I have astigmatism!?
Thank-you =] xWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It depends on how much astigmatism you have!. I have -0!.50 of astigmatism and my optician increased my contacts prescription by -0!.25 to compensate and I wear regular lenses!. My friend whose astigmatism is -0!.75 has to buy expensive torics!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I wanted to wear daily contacts too!. But my eye says I can't wear them because of my astigmatism!.

So I am stuck wearing my expensive proclear lenses!. He told me my vision would not be as good as it's suppose to be if I wear daily disposables!.

He said I will notice the difference if I tried!.

Plus he said I would have to take another contact lens fitting exam which would cost more money!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, it is okay!. Normal contact lenses will do the job, but they are not likely to give you 20/20 vision!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, I do!. They might not be quite as perfect as the special ones, but they definitely do the job!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
