Question: What's wrong with my sister!?
she keeps crying, and saying her eye [left eye] hurts because when she blinks, it just hurts!. and she wont shut up and quit complaining about it hurting!. i know it's serious, but it's sad how no one in the house is doing anything to help!.
i dont know what the hell is wrong with her right now!. my dad told her to pour warm water over a paper towel, and just leave it over the eye, closed, but my sister says that makes it hurt a lot more!.
she does wear glasses, like me, but never contacts!. she's 11 years old!.
what the heck is wrong with her eye!? i'm not going to call a freaking optician or anything like that at 9 pm either!. what can i do, i'm only 16!. seriously, though!.

Anything involving pain in your eye is serious!. It could be watering because of a blocked tear duct (if it isnt unblocked within a few days she could need an operation or she will lose sight in that eye), or she could be developing a stye (which is unsightly, painful, and contagious), or she could have an infection that is affecting one of the optical nerves!. They should take her to a doctor!. You're sweet to be concerned about her!. An old home remedy you could use is a drop of peroxide in the affected eye every few hours (it stings though) , or use a sterile eye wash!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
First of all, you need to be compassionate about the situation!. Show that you care!. The fact that you say "I don't know what the hell is wrong" demonstrates impatience!. You can tell her that you or a family member will bring her to see the doctor as soon as the office opens!. Another option would be to call a Health Line that's open 24 hours!. Maybe she keeps crying because she feels like no one cares!. Perhaps if you offer to check for an eyelash or bring her a hot washcloth she'll calm down enough to describe what is wrong!.

are you sure its not pink eye!? also known as sore eyes, it a disease that results in sensitivity to light,and quiet common with small children, but you should get it checkedWww@Answer-Health@Com

She has some type of foreign body or object beneath her upper lid!. When she blinks, she scratches her cornea and that hurts!. If she closes her eyes hard, it'll push the little thing into the cornea and hurt more!. You can try irrigation, but most likely when she goes to the eye doc s/he'll evert the upper eyelid and look with a slitlamp at the lining of the upper lid!. Somewhere in there is this foreign object!. Once taken out, she'll be fine!.
