What size is the iris in an adult eye ?!

Question: What size is the iris in an adult eye !?
As close as I can tell my iris is 13 mm across, and my theory is that in the adult eye the range is from 11mm (maybe) to 14mm!. However I'm sure that someone will know a definitive answer!. This isn't for homework per say, but I am an artist who does a lot of mathematical studies on my own!. Usually I assume around 13 or 14!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the average is size is about 12mm!. it does very from person to person!. but yes about 11mm to 14mm is a good range!. a pupils average is about 2-3mm in light and about 8mm in the dark just in case you are wondering!. now the size of pupils for a teenager is about 4-5mm in light and about 8-9mm at night it depends on the lighting!. i hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

12-14 mm will do fine!. There is a slightly variable degree of overlap, so the very rim of the iris is hidden by the white sclera where it joins the clear cornea!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The iris of an adult eye would be the same size as a child's!. Throughout a person's life the eye is one of the only parts of the body that never grows!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i think as the eye changes to light then it will be within a few mm diffeence in size!. from 11-15 mm i guessing !.
great question by the wayWww@Answer-Health@Com
