How do I get my "PD" measurement?!

Question: How do I get my "PD" measurement!?
I want to order glasses online, my doctor and optical store won't give it to me!?
Is there an easy way to do it yourself!? And shouldn't they give it to me, it's my information!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yikes! There is no "normal pd"!.!.!.!.

If everyone out there goes out and orders glasses online with a normal
pd they are all in trouble! LOL

Your vision care provider won't give out your pd because you are asking
them to work for nothing!.

I don't recommend buying glasses online--when they come in and they don't fit at all--what are you going to do!?

Bring them to the place you asked for the pd measurement!?

When the Rx doesn't seem quite right, what terrible hassle will you
have to go through!?!?

When you have a sore ear or nose---it will be hard to get them adjusted
online :)

If you need online glasses, the pd can be measured as the first poster said!.

good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well the optical store where you got your exam should be willing to give it to you with your prescription, but they're probably being jerks since your not buying your glasses there!. Basically what your PD is is the measurement of pupilary distance!. I worked in optics for a couple years and how we measured it was this way!. We have the patient put a glasses frame on and stare straight ahead, then we would take a sharpie and make a dot where the pupil is!. The we had a measuring stick called a PD stick, which is a essentially just a small metric ruler!. We measure from each eye in millimeters from the center of the bridge of the frame to the pupil mark, and that is the PD!. So say kind of a normal looking PD would be R-30 L-31 or something like that, but the numbers should be around that range!. So if you have a metric ruler you can do it on your own!. I will say one thing though, beware buying glasses online, you never know what you're going to get and how if you have any problems you're going to get taken care of!. I always think when it comes to something like glasses it's best to get them in person, but that's just my thought!. Best of luck to you, hope my PD measuring tutorial wasn't too confusing!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I remember my first level in university and still now we use the ruler task

first of all PD must be in this way

but you can't measure it by your self !.!.!.!. there must be someone take it for you

look at distance object!.!.!.!.

then get the distance from the end of your right eye circle (( the dark one ))
to the start of circle of your left eye circle ((also the dark one))

LO_________LO

I hope this draw help you !.!.!.!.!.!. the rang is from 56-64 depend in your age and gender!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

crzymky!.!. good answer thats exactly what you need to do!. But i suggest you ask a friend to do it for you!. Measure the distance between your two pupils with a metric ruler!. The normal measurement is 60 mm, depending on the size of your face etc that can change!. Good luck to ya!Www@Answer-Health@Com
