You can start by using some artificial tears, like Refresh, Theratears or Blink!. These drops can be used with contacts!. You may also try changing contact lens solutions!. If you have sensitivity or allergies to certain solutions, there are great ones like Clear Care that have no preservatives, soaps, etc!. that can cause irritation!. If that doesn't work then maybe changing to a different type of contact lens may help!. Sometimes the material the lens is made of is what is contributing to the dry eye!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
I actually agree with the optometrist on this one with a caveat!. If your eyes are dry, should you really be in contact lenses!? You are risking infection and ulcers by continuing to wear lenses that make your eyes dry!. Give your eyes a rest first and then see your optometrist to see if changing the contact material will help!. If you are still getting dry eyes even after changing material, get used to glasses!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I've had luck with some of the newer materials that let more oxygen pass through the lens!. I like the O2 Optixs soft lenses!. But even with these contacts my eyes feel dry if I am at my computer all day or working in one of the plants where they do a lot of sanding!. They feel fine if I wear them on the weekends when I am more active working around the house or playing with the kids!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
