Question: I see a spot in my eye, any idea's on what it could be!?
I have this "sunspot" type deal in my eye!. I see it all the time!. I went to the eye doctor and they said I have a spot or bruise in the back of my eye but he wasn't sure what it was!. I see a specialist today but I was just wondering if anyone would have an idea to what it is!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

i'm sorry but your regular eye doctor must be a "quack" cuz how could they not know what it is!?!
its called a floater!. i'm sure glad you are going to a specialist today!.
a floater could mean a detached retina and if that is the case it needs to be fixed surgically right away!. if this is what is wrong then you will most likely be in surgery by friday cuz if not treated quickly it can easily lead to blindness in that eye!.
it also could be that it is the start of a detached retina but the tear isn't visable yet so if that is the case the specialist will tell you to come back in about 4-6 weeks or call if it gets any worse!.
many times a floater just hangs out for a while then goes away and if this is the case then you would have nothing to worry about cuz it would indicate that you don't have a detached retina but its always better to be safe rather and sorry and get it checked immediately!.

Not to scare you but it is very important that you see the specialist today!. I had the SAME thing!. I ignored it for a whole summer thinking it was just there because I was out in the sun too long or something!. Went to the eye dr!. for a normal check-up he found nothing wrong!. UNTIL I said something about it when I was about to leave and he recommended I see a retinal specialist!. It turns out I had bi-lateral retinal detachments!. They had gone at least three years without being diagnosed when going ot the dr!. every year!. My right eye was already detached from the macula (center) and the left eye was detached but not as far progressed!. I had to have surgery on the right eye three days later!.

my uncle had a spot in his eye also and he had a detached retina, your problem may not be that extreme , but def!. get it checked ASAP!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
