Why do my vision gets blurry with contact lenses when i open my eyes bigger?!

Question: Why do my vision gets blurry with contact lenses when i open my eyes bigger!?
I wear contact lenses for astigmatism!. (Acuvue Advanced) My vision is only clear when I see my own upper eyelids!. To explain that a little, my perspective looks like a little cover is on top of me!.

The problem is that whenever I open my eyes wider or look down with my eyes opened wide, I see things doubles!. Someone at this glasses place where I took my eye exam told me that the contacts may be moving when I open my eyes!. But this does not make sense because if I pinch my upper eyelids off my eyes, I still get double vision!.

The double vision I have makes objects split on top of each other!.

The person who told you your contacts may be moving is probably right!. It is difficult to combat this problem in any way, and can even be hard to detect on your own!. You should return to your optician and have him check the fit of your contacts!. Most likely, he can give you a prescription (and a sample pair) with a different "base curve"!.

Each person's eyes are shaped differently, and contact makers usually offer 2 or more different curve depths in each brand to help find a closer fit to your eye!. Generally a change in base curve will improve your vision and comfort if the contacts do not currently fit properly!.

Alternatively, your prescription may be incorrect or there may be protein buildup on your lenses!. Your eye care professional should be able to help you discover and fix any of these issues!.

For your second question, I doubt that these 2 things are related!. I know quite a few Asians from different countries, some of whom have perfect vision!. However, an eye expert may be able to tell us differently!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Okay i've been trying to figure out what the deal is with your eyes,

1!. the fit of the toric might not be correct and hence be splitting your vision!. so go back to your optometrist and get a new exam/fitting and new lenses

2!. Your upper eyelid does contribute to your astigmatism that is why babies don't usually have astigmatism generally because they have no lid tonus!. IT could be that your lid is contributing to shaping your eyes and as an asian your lids are heavy and definitely will contribute something

3!. your lenses could be moving! its very possible that it is passing over the corneal margin which can give you the perception of double vision!.

Bottom line, its not okay, go get it checked out at your eye care practitioner at your earliest convenience!. Good luck to ya:)Www@Answer-Health@Com
