The problem has nothing to do with where you buy them!. All doctors & optical shops order lenses from the same manufacturer!. Buying Freshlook lenses from the doctor's is the same as buying Freshlook lenses from anywhere else!. BUT here is the problem:

1!. It is a federal law to purchase contact lenses without a written Rx from a doctor!. It is also a federal law to sell/prescribe contact lenses from anyone other than a licensed practitioner or licensed fitter!. Thye are not toys- they are considered medical devices!.

2!. Contact lenses are not a "one size fits all"!. Even though you want non-prescription lenses, you still have to be fitted by an eye doctor!. He/she will then write out an Rx for you to purchase lenses!. Contact lens fittings are similar to fitting shoes!. If you wear a size 8 shoe, you cannot squeeze your foot into a size 6!. If you try, you'll get blisters and your feet will hurt!. So if you buy lenses and they don't fit right, you CAN do a lot of damage!

3!. A lot of places such as costume shops, swap meets/flea markets, beauty salons, etc!.!. sell contact lenses illegally!. They are NOT licensed to do this!. The lenses are authentic brands!. But if they don't fit your cornea properly, then you have a problem!. If they damage your eyes, are you going to find those people to pay for your medical expenses!? Probably not! So this law is for your benefit and to protect YOU! They bust people at swap meets all the time!

So again, its not a problem with the contact lenses themselves, its a problem of making sure they fit properly!. You only have one set of eyes, and they're a pretty important sensory organ that you don't want to lose, just because you want to change your eye color!. Is it worth it!? If so, then do the right thing and see an eye doctor for a fitting!. Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com
