I think i have a fungal eye infection, should i go to an optometrist or ophthlam!

Question: I think i have a fungal eye infection, should i go to an optometrist or ophthlamologist!?
I have extreme redness when my contacts are in or out!. I stopped wearing my contacts 3 weeks ago!. The infection subsided, i thought my eyes had healed!. Then i put my contacts in again, and the infection came back!. My eye is close to bloodshot red!. Slightly burning!. I started 3 weeks ago having watery eyes, then it progressed to thick yellow crust on my eyelids when i wake up in the morning!. My eyes don't water anymore, they are bone dry!. And there is a white spot on the edge of my cornea!. Today i started having sensitivity to light!. It just won't go away!

I think it's fungal keratitisWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Lots of things it could be, from phlyctenular kerato-conjunctivitis to herpetic ulcer, but fungal keratitis is one of them!.
In the UK the route would normally be via an optometrist, who can often get access to an ophthalmologist faster than via the family GP!.

Elsewhere, direct access to an ophthalmologist might be the more normal route!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

HI
IT IS A SERIOUS CONDITION !
At first please do not use your contacts just this moment
use an antibiotic drop like ciprofloxacin ,gentamicin, ofloxacin on drop every 1-2 hours for 3 days
Meet your ophthalmologist if symptoms persist
if you cotinue wearing cotacts ,might progress to corneal ulcer, perforation, scar and permanently visual loss!.

ophthamologist- they are doctors that are trained (more trained than an optometrist) to treat conditions of the eye and can prescribe medicine and perform surgery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Definitely see the Ophthalmologist, they are an actual MD who treats much more than an Optometrist would!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

ophthalmologists are specialists in the study of the eyes!. you should see one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
