Is it normal for my eyes to smart for a few seconds from artificial tears soluti!

Question: Is it normal for my eyes to smart for a few seconds from artificial tears solution!?
Because of the weather/computer work, I was given Artificial Tears Solution drops (by "Rugby")!. When I put a drop my eyes start smarting from it for a couple of seconds!. After which, I feel no pain, and my eye actually does feel better!.!.!. but should I be worried about that initial thing!?
(I've used redness relievers such as Clear Eyes - didn't help me - and another one which did, but I don't remember the name, and I've never had that reaction!. On the other hand, my eyes do feel really better after that initial "shock")Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah that sounds normal, there are a lot of eye drops that actually have methol in them to make them feel "minty" if you will, it's a cooling feeling that kinda burns a little bit at first, but then after that your eyes should feel really good!. It's ok to keep using those as long as you don't mind the initial shock!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had that problem for a time when I was working!. I would go to the bathroom at work & splash cold water in my face!. I remember switching eye drop brands if I didn't like one brand or another!.!.

I recently heard, on radio, someone recommending foods high in Omega 3 because it's supposed to stimulate the tear ducts!. I already use flax seed meal in my daily bowl of oatmeal as well as a tsp of cod liver oil each day!. I consume Omega 3 for my joint problems!.

However, personally I don't know if it works for dry eyes since I am retired and no longer sit for hours in front of a computer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
