Contacts? Wear time vs Package time?!
Question: Contacts!? Wear time vs Package time!?
I have just gotten contacts!. Im in my mid twenties so Im aware of proper care etc!. However, I don't wear my contacts everyday (for instance if Im not working or its a weekend, I use my glasses)!. The Dr!. said the contacts are 7 day contacts!. Is this wear time or "opened package" time!? They are in the solution I was given soaking when Im not wearing them (I think its Aqua Soft no rub)!. I hate to waste contacts by wearing them twice in seven days!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

For contact lenses, wearing time means how many hours per day you can wear the lenses!. The healthiest way to wear contact lens is no more than 8 hours per day!. Never sleep with your contact lens in, you can easily get inflammation, red eyes, and infection that way!.
Disposable schedule refers to how often you have to replace/ dispose your contact lenses!. Depends on what brand you have, some are disposed every day, some are 1-2 weeks, others are monthly!. Follow your eye doctor instructions!. Don't stretch the life of contacts!. Old lenses are not comfortable to wear, reducing oxygen received by the the eyes, and may cause dryness problem!. You should dispose the lens as instructed, regardless whether you wear or not wear the lenses everyday during that 1 week period!. It's not worth to put your eyes at risk for infection!.
One word about Clear Care!. it is a very good lens cleaning solution, but you have to soak the lens a minimum of 6 hours or more, otherwise it will cause eye burn badly!. Read instruction!. Also after 6 hours, the solution becomes a saline solution, it does not disinfect the lens!. so don't store your lens too long in it b/c microbes can grow in these lenses!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The package time is the number of full days that you can wear them!. 7 day lenses, like the ones that you are using can be worn 7 times!. If you wear a pair that you open today and continue to wear them until friday, then use specs on the weekend you can use the lenses on monday and tuesday of next week!.
On Wednesday use a fresh pair, following the same routine, you need to use the next fresh pair on the friday of the next week!.

Once you open the lenses you must change out the solution everyday!. Even though you don't use them everyday you should still change the solution!. As far as those No Rub solutions!.!.!.you should always rub your contact lenses and make sure you get all the bacteria and protein build up out!. A good solution is Clear Care!. It cleans your lenses very good!. If you buy it, make sure you read the instructions very carefully!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
Contacts can be stretched out longer then they are recommended!. As long as you keep them soaking, you'll be fine!. If you put them in and they feel gritty and uncomfortable, toss them and start new!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
