Answers:
If by a lazy eye you mean your eye turns to the side, then that makes sense!. Red eye in pictures is a reflection of the blood vessels that supply your retina--the back, inside of your eye!. When you look at the camera, you direct your non-lazy eye at it!. The part of the retina we use to focus on things is called the fovea and it is surrounded by an avascular (no blood vessels) area called the macula!. Thus there are not a lot of blood vessels to reflect the light in this eye!. Your lazy eye, though, is turned to the side, so the macula is not aimed at the camera--your peripheral retina, where there are lots of blood vessels, is!. Therefore, they reflect the light as red!.

So basically:
straight eye=macula=no vessels=no red eye
lazy eye=peripheral retina=blood vessels=red eye

By the way, this is the basis of a test eye doctors can use to test for an eye turn!. They shine a light into both eyes while the patient fixates the light and look to see if the reflections are the same!. If not, the brighter reflection will most likely be the turned eye!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The flash on your camera must be catching the eye wrong!. Try a no red-eye flash, or photoshop!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
