I had two surgeries at ages four and five for strabismus (eye muscle problem)!. Strabismus is sometimes incorrectly referred to as a lazy eye!. It sounds like you may have had a similar surgery!. I am 34 now and can wear contact lenses!. I only wear a lens in my left eye because my right eye does not require correction!. This type of eye surgery should not prevent you from wearing contact lenses!.
Your father is the decision maker for you when you are 14 and he may have other reasons for not allowing you to wear contacts!. Contacts require more responsibilty on your part to care for the lenses and your eyes!. He is probably just concerned about you!.
I suggest that you ask your eye doctor and see if you can wear contacts while your father is present and see how it goes from there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

1!. Only an optician or opthamolagist could tell you if you can get contacts!.

3!. Contact lens techology has change heaps in the last 10 years, when I was 23 I was told that contacts weren't an option, I'm 33 now and have been wearing them on and off for the last 4 years

i've been going to eye specialists my entire life and am %100 sure you can certainly wear contacts!.
i'd ask your dad what the real reason is that he doesn't want you to wear contacts!.

Unless your dad is an ophthalmologist, I'm not sure if he's the one you should be asking that question!. He IS, however, the one to be asking even if you can!. Why!? no I don't think it's bull!. i can see why he said u can't do that!. nothing should be inside your eyes after that!. but the bull part is (even though it's not in your case) my father had laser surgery but he still has to use reading glasses anyway!. now that's some bullWww@Answer-Health@Com
