Answers:
Your vision has not decreased by 75%!. I bet your vision, with glasses is 20/20 now and was 20/20 two years ago, so it has not decreased at all!. You have mild myopia and have had a small progression of 0!.75D over 2 years!.

The reason is genetic!. There is no way to determine how much more they will change!. Myopia usually stops progressing when growth stops, for girls that will be age 14 to 18, for boys, age 18 to 25!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You do not have eye degeneration although there is a condition called degenerative myopia that can cause your prescription to go beyond -10!.00!. What we are seeing here is a normal progression of your myopia (near sightedness) most likely due to your growth spurts during adolescence!. When you are near sighted the usual underlying reason is that your eyeball is longer than it should be!. This causes images you see to fall short of the back of the eye!. As you grow height-wise, your eyes will also likely grow length-wise!. This elongation of your eyeball will make you more near sighted!.

You have changed a total of -0!.75 over the course of two years!. This is not exceptional by any means and is very common!. There is light at the end of the tunnel since you will most likely reach maturity (adulthood) in a short amount of time (2 to 4 years)!. After you become an adult, most eyes tend not to change over time!. I would predict your end prescription to be about -3!.50 or less in about 5 years!.

I would predict that you love to read and are putting stress on your eyes due to the constant focusing of your eyes for near vision!. You can also help minimize the changes by keeping your reading material and computer screen as far away from your eyes as feasible!. This reduces the focusing stress that can induce your eyes to become more nearsighted!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

The only one that can really give you an answer to your question is an eye doctor!. Have your eyes checked immediately!. Get second opinions from other eye doctors just to be sure!. Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
