Contact Lens Issues...?!

ok, so I started wearing contact lens about 2yrs!. ago!. I wore them without a single problem!. about 6 months ago i accidentally went swimming in the pool with my contacts!. about 3 days later i put in my contacts and my eyes got all red!. i went to eye doctor and she said i had an infection!. Ever since then every time i wear my contacts my eyes get red!. I always start with a fresh pair when my eyes get red, and i always get some eye drops and allow my eyes some time to heal(1-2 months)!. after about the fourth time my eye doctor said i had eye allergies!. I don't think i really have symptoms for eye allergies though!.!.!.so every time i wear contacts now i get an eye infection!.!.!.what is going on!? would a different brand of contacts work maybe( i wear 2clear brand, and i have astigmatism in my right eye)!. should i stop wearing contacts all together!? maybe take a certain medicine for my "eye allergies" to wear them again!?(i haven't wore my contacts in almost 6 months already!.!.!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com
