It is actually a bit more intense then going in for a regular spectacle exam!. The regular exam will take place and then your doctor will fit you for contacts!. Depending on what prescription you have and what brand your doc suggests, there is a possibility that you will walk out of the office with the contacts in hand and not have to wait!. If you have a unique prescription and they do not have the contacts in stock, then it will take about the same time to get your contacts as it does to get your glasses (usually 7-10 days for most places)!. If they do in fact have the ones you need in stock, then you will get a "contact class" that will explain how to put them in and take them out correctly, how to clean them, and all that good stuff!. It should take no more than 45 minutes!. The typical patient takes about 20 minutes for the exam and fitting, 5 minutes for the lesson, and maybe a few minutes to pay!. I'm guessing that if you run into any sort of problems or can't get the hang of putting them in, then it might take longer!. But 30 minutes is about the average contact appointment!. it is the same exact thing for glasses!. Nothing to worry about!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
