Can i file for disability!? And get it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
yes you can file for disability and you may or may not get it!. they will look over the papers and the letters you will need from your eye doctor and then determine if you get it or not!. they may give it to you and say you are NOT DETERMINED TO BE LEGALLY BLIND even though your doctor has diagnosed you but they will say you are getting it cuz of another condition!.
its really stupid how the system works!.
i am blind in one eye and have 20/800 in the other and they declared that i wasn't leagally blind but i got disability cuz i have glaucoma!.isn't that retarded!.

and you would be able to find another job with your vision!. i'm in the process of getting a job at davids bridal as a consultant and i have worse vision than you!. i went to school for fashion and i intend on using that degree in one way or another!.

if you can do the job you can work!. they cannot not hire you just cuz you are visually impaired!. now if you couldn't do the work they want you to do then yes they can not hire you!.

i say apply for disability you will most likely get it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would suggest at least applying and do it soon because it could take a while for everything to happen!. I became legally blind in January 08 and that is when I applied!. From January-the end of August they were sending me to doctors and evals and paperwork (that a visually impaired person could not read!!) to fill out constantly but it definitely paid off!. I received my first payment PLUS backpay in October!.

They will ask for records and doctor stuff too and you have to just be on your doctor's case about getting that paper work back because there are time limits!. It doesn't hurt to apply though and being that you have a child on the way that you may not be able to support otherwise it is a plus to getting it!.

Don't give up either and when you are settled with the baby and everything I encourage you to find a job because you are capable!. If you aren't already register with you state's commission for the blind and visually impaired!. They will also be able to help you out A LOT esp with finding a job that fits your needs and disability!.

Good luck with everything, just be patient!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you are approved for Disability is up to the disability board people!. You can file for it and find out!. Being legally blind, I would think that you would be eligible for all sorts of services that would come along with it!. You really should check it out and also see if you are eligible for any services for the blind through service organizations that help with that!. Your eye doctors might be able to refer you to some special interrest groups!. Good luck and have a FUN time with your new baby!Www@Answer-Health@Com
