A 20/200 vision is already legally blind so people HAVE TO wear glasses when they have that grading!.
But you don't have to wait to be legally blind before you actually wear glasses!. If you have problem doing your activities of daily living (ADLs) then, yes you have to get your eyes check and start wearing glasses/contact lenses to improve your eyesight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well my vision isn't that horrible <not legally blind> lol, but I have an astigmastism so I am supposed to wear my glasses all the time!. That and I am near sighted!. I have have my glasses on all the time, but my doctor said I should!. Mostly because without them on I get debilitating migraines!. I can see fine but the edges are blurry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Pure personal preference!.
I've known people walk around in a complete blur rather than Wear Glasses!.
And people wear the smallest Rx religiously rather than Have Blurred Vision!.
About the only thing that comes with a legal requirement for vision is driving, and with some young children there are also definite "oughts" associated with their development!.
Otherwise, it's simply what suits you!. Free choice!.
