Most people with myopia have eyeballs that are too long, so when we grow in our teens it is normal for the eye to get even longer when we grow, hence the change in Rx during our biggest growth spurts! Your vision could possibly change a lot, or not!. Mind was stable at -4!.50 and -5!.50 for about 15 years and then has change little by little between age 40-45 and I am now at a -6:50 in both eyes!. AL ot of this is due to heredity, so it is hard to predict! Good lenses ARE expensive, but I get the best that I can afford because I only have these eyes and have to live in them! I wear contacts, but due to allergies I can not wear them 24/7!. lasik for me is not an option because I have thin corneas and sometimes battle dry eyes, so it is not a good option for me at this time!. I wish you luck! have a great Thanksgiving weekend!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Only time will tell!. I was at -10!.75 and -9!.25 in my eyes by the time I was in my early 20's!. I am now 41 and it hasn't changed much at all!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is no way to tell, with any level of accuracy, how nearsighted you may get!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

My prescription was stable (around -4!.75) for about 3 years - late teens, early 20's)!. Then, it starting changing quite a bit (I'm 27 now)!. I'm a -6!.50 in both eyes now, and I need another script!. I'm sure they are going to bump me up to the -7!.00!. SO !. !. !. my doc keeps saying it will slow down and stop, and that I won't be a -9!.00, so who knows!. He says the important thing is that I can still be corrected to 20/20!. I only buy a pair of glasses every 1 1/2 - 2 years or so, because I also wear contacts, so when you consider the extra $50 bucks or so for the thin lenses it's worth it!. I've had to buy them for years!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
