How can I tell what my vision is?!

Question: How can I tell what my vision is!?
My optometrists never told me 20/200 or 20/20 or anything like that!. One time he mumbled "yep you're a solid 400!." But I don't get it!.!.!.does that mean I'm 400/1 or something!? I wear contacts (-5!.0 in both eyes last time I got fitted) but no one ever told me that I was legally blind or anything so I don't think I have anything to worry about!.!.!.but I just wanted to know if anyone knows!

Thanks guysWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Your visual acuity always starts with 20 - as in, 20/20, or 20/400!. Just ask the optometrist, or get a copy of your records!. Your prescription will only tell you what your correction is!. What's really important is whether or not you can be corrected to 20/20 - not what you started out with!. I wear a -6!.50, which corrects me to 20/20!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

the only person who can tell you the exact figures is your optometrist!. If you ask him what your visual acuity is he should tell you!. Either that or ask for a prescription!.

Basically with the -5!.00 prescription your vision should be close to 20/20 but there's a fancy way of working out what everything else is and writing it down, so its not as simple as saying what your visual acuity is from that prescription!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
