Would you buy rimless glasses?!

Question: Would you buy rimless glasses!?
I'm picking out new glasses Monday, and I'm considering a pair of "Sarah Palin-esque" rimless glasses!. I have a heavy prescription, even when I buy the lightweight lenses!. I thought I would like the look AND feel!. The problem is that I hear these frames are not stable at all!.

I have to wear my glasses if I get up to go to the bathroom at night!. I can't have a heavy frame, but I can't have something falling apart, either!

By the way, I have an astigmatism and this go 'round, I may have to get bifocals too!. I'll opt for the no-line ones if that's the case because I'm only 27 years old! I don't know if this will affect anything, but I thought I'd throw it out there if it would!. I can't get aviator sunglasses because of the astigmatism!.

P!.S!. I'm shopping at Lens Crafters, if that helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Honestly, if you ask any optician they will tell you they hate drill mount frames! For many reasons: they can sometimes make you look older than you really are, they are extremely delicate, you will end up having more frequent adjustments because they don't hold alignment very well, etc!.!.!. Keep in mind that the less frame there is, the more delicate your eyeglasses will be!. The only thing mounting them together are the drill holes, and with any kind of pressure or a lot of wear & tear they will break!. Also, depending on your Rx, they may not be able to make this type of eyeglass for you!. Sometimes there is a limited Rx range that can be assembled in drill mounts!. If your correction is high (which I'm assuming it is) your lenses will appear a lot thicker because there is no frame to hide the edges!. You may not like the way they look when their finished!. In all honesty, they are not practical at all!. If your wanting eyeglasses that are less visible, then maybe go with a semi-rimless frame instead!. They're still a little delicate, but much sturdier than drill mounts!. If you're still opting for a drill mount, have your lens edges polished!. This will make the edge thickness less visible!. And whenever your not wearing them ALWAYS keep them in your case!. If they get damaged in any way, chances are they will break! Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I bought rimless glasses a couple of years ago but they were not reliable at all!. The holes in the lens broke so the frames couldn't hold it!. Make sure the rim around the nose part and the edge is strong enough to hold the lens properly!. Mine just looked like a wire!. I left them lying around a lot so its probably my fault for not taking care of them properly!. Take good care of them and you should be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They will probably break more easily than regular glasses!. I wear glasses too, and I think that regular glasses with cute frames look better and are harder to break!. If you are going to be trying to find them in the dark to go to the bathroom at night, I would definitely get regular glasses!. Lens Crafters has some really cute frames, that is where I always go!. Happy Thanksgiving!Www@Answer-Health@Com
