Answers:
Eye tests are NOT free for everybody in the UK!.

However, under DSE regulations, if you are classified as a VDU user, you should be entitled to a paid eye test by your employer!. As to whether they will pay for your glasses, it depends on what the prescription is for!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Difficult one to answer,

Many large employers who need you to meet minimum eyesight standards (i!.e!. the military) do pay!. However, for you it's more of a health and safety thing!.

I'd ask your occupational health rep/human resources department!. They don't have to pay, but some often will if you ask nicely!.

I think that it would depend on the company who you work for, they might give you so much towards the cost of a eye test, but I don't think that they have to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

your company should give you money towards a eye test (about 15) and something towards glasses if you need them for work 9again - not a lot) - the rest is up to you - talk to your personnel or HR departmentWww@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on the benefit plan that your company has!.

Call your HR department and ask!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
