I had a horrible case of constipation after starting a new med, but I new the horrible stomach cramps were because I hadn't "gone" in three days!.
I ate prunes like crazy!.!.!.my mom kept telling me I need an enema and I totally refused!. I sent my husband to get me a stool softner and took one of the two pills i was supposed to take because it wasn't supposed to work for 24 hours anway and I was so uncomfortable!
I will say this though, once I started feeling the really bad constipation symptoms, 2 hours later I was able to (finally) go!.

The signs of constipation are basically stomach cramps and the inability to produce a bowel movement!. You could take a stool softener, a laxative or you can eat foods that contain high levels of fiber!. My personal choice is oatmeal!. However there are fiber supplements available at many stores!.
