That's a difficult question to answer!. I haven't personally had the surgery but I DO work in a laser eye surgery clinic so can answer some of your questions
The results from laser surgery are individual!. Just cos people here have had their vision completely corrected doesn't mean yours will be!. Also yours may get corrected completely!.
Bear in mind most places wont do laser surgery until you hit at least 21 and your eyesight hasn't changed prescription in a year or so!. Also if you are under around and have shortsightedness, there is a high chance you may need glasses for reading when you get to 40 or so!.
The consent forms for the surgery should explain this to you and you can always ask if you are concerned!.
