Question: OK I got pink eye - Advice Please!!?
Before I begin, I apologize for any grossness
So I woke up this morning with some crusties on my right eye!. I though no big deal!. Now I go to take my contacts out and the sucker is red and painful and there's like a yellow goop in there (I warned you)!.
First of all, what should I do besides go to the doctor - which I will tomorrow morning!. Second of all is it OK to work with this thing!. Also I'm throwing a party on Saturday!. Is drinking OK!?

Ok, i think you have the right diagnosis here but let's just make sure!.
First, is there any swelling around the eye!? Is is bad enough that the eye is closed!? Is the pupil a different size than the unaffected eye (assuming that the other eye is without pathology)!? Can you see ok out of the eye!? Do you have a headache associated with it!? Finally, is there a rash anywhere else on your body or near the eye!?
If you answered yes to some of these questions it could indicate a more serious condition!. You need to get this checked out by a doctor asap!.
Anyway, if you do have pink eye; it is likely caused by an organism called Haemophilus aegypticus which is a type of bacteria!. However you could have a number of other critters infecting the eye which can range from Staph!. areus to a Herpes virus!. No matter which bug it is; the yellow discharge tells me that it is infected with something!. So, that being said when you rub it (and you are going to rub it throughout the day) the microbes will get on your hand and you will be spreading them throughout your office and possibly to your employees!. You may or may not be able to drink at the party depending on whether or not your doc prescribes an oral or eye drop antibiotic!. Anywho good luck dude!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can go to Walgreens or any drug store and buy some over the counter pink eye medicine for the time being!. Pink eye is contagious so you really should reduce exposure to other people!. It is ok to drink with pink eye; however, you really should avoid contact with other people until the issue is resolved!. If you need to be around other people avoid touching your eye AT ALL, and wash your hands a lot!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Place a cool wet towel over your eye to ease the pain and inflamation!. Put in eye drops about every hour or so!. Avoid wearing your contact lenses until your eye feel better!. You should also disinfect your house before you have a party to avoid it from spreading!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Pink Eye is highly contagious!. Stay away from people!. Eyes drops!.
