Answers:
no it's pretty normal throughout the world for young children to wear glasses!.they are normally prescribed to corrext muscle imbalances in the eye!.you may find that the opthomologist may start to reduce the rx on the next visit or may possibly ask you to patch the lens if he or she is corrrecting muscle imbalances!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I had glasses at that age for short-sight, which is relatively rare!.
If significant long-sight is present, with a risk of squint or lazy eye developing, glasses are frequently given (with firm advice that they need to be used) at age 2 and under!. The earlier the better, even if this is difficult as the child can't easily understand why they have to wear these unnatural things
Waiting to see how it turns out, or until the child better understands why they have to wear them!.!.!. Just not good ideas!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

One of my co-workers has twins boys who both started wearing them at about 18 months old!. They were premature and had several other health issues as well!. They are six now and doing well!.
I was prescribed eyeglasses at four to help with strabismus, but they were not effective for me because they gave me horrible headaches!. You are not alone in this one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
