How do you know when to throw out contact lenses?!

Question: How do you know when to throw out contact lenses!?
I wear soft contact lenses and I've heard that you are supposed to throw it away every month!? I've been wearing this pair right now for about 2 months, should I throw them away!? Sometimes they bug me a lot, for instance it's as if I could feel them when I blink!.!.!.so it can be annoying!.

I just want to make sure when to throw a pair away since I don't want to throw them away when they are still in perfect condition to use!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Beauty's answer was ok, but the others are terrible! The replacement schedule for lenses depends on what brand you wear!. Ask your eye doctor!. He or she will know and should have made that clear to you during your exam!. One phone call and you'll know for sure!. By the way, wearing dirty lenses increases your risk of contact lens related complications!. Trust me, one nasty corneal ulcer will cost you a bunch more (in money, time and pain) than purchasing enough lenses to replace them when your supposed to!. Besides, if you could see what these dirty lenses actually look like, you wouldn't want to put it in your eye either!Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, don't throw them away after only 2 months!. I have been wearing contacts for 8 years, so i know!.
The best time to get rid of them is around 6 months, even maybe a little longer!. I like to wear mine longer, because i hate running out, and having to wear my glasses while i wait for the new ones to come in!.
better safe than sorry i say!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i have soft contacts too and mine are for only a month but i've been wearing them for about 4 months
the only time i change them is when they have really been bugging me for a couple days or if i rip one!.
wearing them for longer than ur supposed to wont mess up ur vision!.!.just change them wen they start hurting a lotWww@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on the type of contacts!.!.!. the ones I have are disposed of monthly!.

Got this from a website:
* Disposable lenses = replaced every two weeks, or sooner
* Frequent replacement lenses = replaced monthly or quarterly
* Traditional (reusable) lenses = replaced every six months or longer
