Why can't i focus a whole 180 degrees angle with my eyes? most of my vison i!

Question: Why can't i focus a whole 180 degrees angle with my eyes!? most of my vison is peripheral!?
for example, when i write in my book, i basically ignore all my vision except for the book!. i wear contact lenses!. I'm on the computer a lot and my face is usually very close to the computer, so maybe my eyes have gotten used to being focused on a small area!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
The fovea of the eye, which is the part of the retina with the greatest number of photoreceptors, is always quite small, and it's responsible for your central vision!.

As you can see in this diagram!.!.!.

!.!.!.the acuity of the eye drops off massively even a couple degrees away from the fovea!.

To tell the truth, I was just noticing the other day how poor my peripheral vision is, and how small the focus of my central vision is!. I also wear contacts, but unlike you, I've been working largely outdoors for the past four years, using my entire field of vision!. I suspect that you're just taking notice of something you've always lived with, and that your peripheral vision is perfectly normal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
