Eye surgery help please?!

Question: Eye surgery help please!?
Hey guys, I wanna be an astronaut but on the NASA website, it says that payload specialists or flight engineers must can have 20/200 vision but is correctable to 20/20!. As far as I know, they dont mean glasses or contacts, but eye surgery!. That really sux because im far sighted, meaning my eyes are normal at distance, but it puts my eye muscels or something in more strain at a closer distance like reading!. I have reading glasses but havent used them in a long while, havent needed to!.

So the optomitrist said that eye surgery was not recomende, Why!?!?!?!?!?!?

my vision is either 20/40 or 20/30, something like that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
If they say "correctable to 20/20", they mean with glasses or contacts!. If they meant 20/20 without glasses then they would not use the qualifier "correctable to"!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

20 20 vision is perfect Vision i don't think that surgery on you is necessary wearing reading glasses should not be a problem for you getting a job so long as you declare it when applying for the job i would say go for the job and good luck surgery on the eye can be risky as like all surgery things can go wrong you can end up being blind and tests show that people who have the surgery only have good eye sight for around 10 years before they have to go back to using glasses again listen to the optician he she is an expertWww@Answer-Health@Com

you have forgotten to tell your age --if it is more than 35 --you have to have a reading glass provision --- you have to have your refraction corrected to prevent further increase in it!. It all appear that your eligible for NASA--but the NASA ---does not openly expose the requirement --they only look for the trouble free candidates --- than others ---for all your doubt make sure if you are eligible ---also the lasik surgery is un deduct able one you think ---it is a permanent damage to your cornea may also become some objection --nasa ---concerned !.!. better consult the nasa spoke person before --- doing your lasik surgeryWww@Answer-Health@Com
