Recurrent Eye Stye's? Any advice...?!
Question: Recurrent Eye Stye's!? Any advice!.!.!.!?
Every winter my 2? year old son develops a stye in his eye!. In the past he has had them and once the swelling goes down he's left with a hard lump in his eye for quite some months!. He has seen specialists but by the time his appointment has come round the lump has gone, they just say to come back when it returns again!.
I dont know whether to worry about the fact that they're reoccuring, or could there be an underlying reason (apart from being run down around winter time) that the styes keep coming back!.

Styes can be caused by staph bacteria, stress, or a lack of vitamin A in the diet!. This is going to sound gross, but since staph bacteria can live in the nose and mouth, if you find your little guy is picking his nose and then rubbing his eyes, he may be giving himself recurring infections!.
A very warm compress to the eye, applied several times a day, can encourage the stye to swell, burst and drain!. Neosporin--the kind specifically formulated for styes--should help keep the infection clear!. You might also want to supplement his diet with vitamin A just to be sure he's getting enough!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe your son is season related!.
Anyhow, I had styes before and the ophthalmologist told me that it had something to do with my immune system!. Lower immune system would make me more prone to diseases and infections such as stye!.
So, I guess you should try to see if your kid has a good and healthy diet!. Then check on his eating habits and exercise!.
If everything is fine, then maybe it's an allergic reaction to the weather!.

your not keeping the face and eye lids clean --at least now you can try this by soap and water wash to the face ---once a day and good cleaning with water soaked Towel to eye lids daily --- see to it that no soap gets into eye -- no antibiotic eye drops at any time with out medical supervisingWww@Answer-Health@Com
Styes are primarily caused by Staphylococcus infection!. But some factors can cause stye to recur!. The predominating factors are diabetes and refractive error!. Patients with these often gets recurrent styes(and of course any condition which decreases body's immunity)!. Get your child checked for these!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Step up the intake of high vitamin foods such as green veg and fruit!. Get a multivitamin supplement as well!. This should all help but diet (to much junk food) is often the cause of a lot of minor problems with youngsters!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
