Question: My bf has a stigmatism!.!.!.can he get Laser eye surgery!?
its where the lenses in his eyes are oval instead of round!. is there any laser out there currently that can help him correct his vision so he has 20/20!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Most common levels of astigmatism can definitely be corrected!.

However as to obtaining 20/20 that will depend very much on his level of astigmatism and more importantly the experience of the surgeonWww@Answer-Health@Com

There are actually many types of refractive and laser eye surgery and they can definitely be used to correct an astigmatism!. I am hopeful that I too will be able to get corrective surgery one day to correct severe nearsightedness when finances make it more feasible!. I do not know anyone who has regreted the surgery, particularly those who have had it most recently!. The only complaint I've heard from anyone is that she had some problems with night vision after the surgery!. Others have no complaints whatsoever!. Discuss it thoroughly and make sure you find a reputable surgeon!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I do believe Lasik surgery can help eliminate stigmatism's!. I had major eye surgery at a young age that helped correct my cross eye and stigmatism, although that eye became much stronger and my right eye went!.!.!.bad!. I am actually thinking about getting Lasik done to my right eye, or getting contacts that help stabalize the eye!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I also have a stigmatisim, i am not sure how bad you boy friends case is, mine is relatively small and doesn't affect me to much, they are a growing thing i believe and it is entirely possible that he will grow out of it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

why you do not suggest some simpler things like spectacle lens and contacts --it will be a good idea, to take up the same, if the eye power more than -7 or +7 with or without astigmatism !.Www@Answer-Health@Com
