Question: Ocular Migraine Help!?

I have ocular migraines, and though they don't hurt at all (thank goodness, because I used to have the 'garden variety' migraines in my teens and 20's and do not want to go through that again) I was wondering if anyone had tried medication for them and if it is effective in stopping them!?
They last the average time (usually under 40 minutes) and the first time I had one it scared me to death (thought I was having a stroke) but now for the most part I just sit back and enjoy the pretty light show!.
The problem is that I have no warning when they can come on so I can't drive because when they happen I effectively go blind until they pass (for some strange reason no one wants me driving when I can't see)
They can happen from a couple of times a day to once a week!.
Oh!.!.!. also!.!.!. is it normal for it to happen in both eyes at the same time!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

As a fellow ocular migraine sufferer, I know exactly what you're talking about!.!.!.I'm 24 and it's only been in the last few months that I've started getting them!.!.!.its been about 3 weeks since my last one, but before that I was getting 3 a week!.!.!.I heard that artificial sweetener can be the cause for some people so I've completely cut out my intake of coke zero (which I'd started drinking to replace coke)!.!.!.I'm hoping this works, otherwise I'll be looking at medication options!.!.!.it pretty much writes off a day when it happens because I also get a massive headache after the temporary blindness!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
