Tell me about your experience with lasik ?!
Question: Tell me about your experience with lasik !?
I went for an evaluation today and they said I'm a perfect candidate!. I'm 21 with no eye problems, just that I wear glasses because I am allergic to contacts and would like to have my vision corrected!.
I'm seriously considering having it done in the next few months- so I want to hear how it was from people who have had it
and also how it's changed their life :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I used to wear glasses for distance and reading which was a pain having two pairs of glasses with me at all times!. More of a pain was coming in from the cold and the glasses steaming up!. I had laser surgery for my distance vision in January 2007, the first few hours were the worst and I thought what have I done!.
The same evening I was able to read without any glasses at all, this carried on for approx 2 weeks!.
I was told during my follow up examination that this will not last and that my reading vision will return to pre op condition!. In the meantime I purchased some reading glasses from a supermarket!. After the prescribed time (approprescriptionI had my prescription checked for reading glasses, the new prescription was less than my pre op prescription, I have had no problems with my vision since the operation and I would not discourage anybody from having the procedure done even though there was a degree of discomfort the results outweighed it!.
I am more than happy with the results 23 months on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

DONT GET IT DONE!.
I went to a VERY reputable institution and they told me I was the perfect candidate!. I was 22 years old last year when I had it done!.
After the surgery I couldn't look at things (keeep my eyes open and focused) for any longer than an hour without getting blinding headaches and cloudiness over my eyes!. This went away in about a week!.
I also had blood in my eyes for 3 weeks which was completely disgusting!. i had to wear sunglasses at work!.
Now, a year later my eyes are still chronically dry!. I have to have a humidifer in my room, on at all times!.
Also, they did not correct my properly!. I do not see 20/20!. A year later I just got glasses again to see perfectly, as there is no way in hell i am having corrective surgery!.
IT IS NOT WORTH THE RISKS!.
WAIT 5 -10 YEARS UNTIL THE PERFECT THE SURGERY EVEN MORE!.
*I had it done at the Bochner Eye Institute in Toronto, ON*Www@Answer-Health@Com
