I actually had the same problem one day my eye was just red for no reason but it did not hurt or anything!. I went to the doctor and she told me my eye was infected from wearing my contacts to long!. You need to go to the doctor though, because it won't clear on it's own you need medicine to get rid of it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Could be irritation from sleeping with contacts in, especially if your eyes aren't used to that!. Most contacts are not really meant to be slept in!.

It could be allergies- especially if it's both eyes!. Also, if your nose is stuffy, you may have some build up around the eyes!. However, it sounds like (with redness) the eyes were irritated and the most likely culprit is your contacts!.

Pink eye usually itches and then hurts- like you got kicked in the eye!. There's a lot of pressure, and often it only involves one eye!. It IS highly contageous, however, so if you think you have that make sure to wash your hands all the time and do not touch your eyes!.

Give your eyes a rest from the contacts and see how they do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no doubt about it of infection -- over wearing following eye infection is also a serious mistake see your eye doctor for further helpWww@Answer-Health@Com
