Lead Acid in the eye!?!

Question: Lead Acid in the eye!!?
hey all, i apparently cracked a car battery open and when i went to set it down some of the leaking lead acid splashed, a very small bit of it went right around my sunglasses and right into my eye! it stung for about 30 seconds or so then it didn't hurt anymore!. even though it didn't sting anymore i went back and washed it out with some of that eyewash solution too!.!.!.it's the next day and i'm not seeing spots nor does it hurt at all, did i dodge the bullet and not do any permanate damage to my eye!? and ohh yeah i don't have health insurance cause i just switched jobs, i know i probably should have gone to the hospital but it didn't hurt and it seems fine!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes, you probably dodged the bullet!. This is a normal occurrence for individuals who work on automobiles!. If you flush the acid from your eyes immediately the chances are you avoided the burn & possible damage!. You normally would keep a bottle with a solution purchased from an auto parts supplier close for safety!. If some type of damage was to occur, it probably would have happened by now!. However; if you feel the need for a second opinion or want to get a physician to exam your eye, there's nothing wrong with this!. My answer is not by any means of what you should follow if you have doubts, this is just my experience!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

best treatment is to have a eye wash or a tap water wash would have done good to the eyeWww@Answer-Health@Com
