How did I inherit my two different colored eyes? Will my kids also inherit it?!

Question: How did I inherit my two different colored eyes!? Will my kids also inherit it!?
I was born with one light blue eye and one half dark blue and half hazelish-green eye!. My mother has dark blue eyes and my father has gray eyes!. I know that both of these colors have two recessive alleles, so out of curiosity, how did I inherit heterochromia!? Also, what are the chances that my children will inherit heterochromia!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
If the gene for heterochromia is recessive then you must have two copies!. If your partner does NOT have heterochromis, that is, they don't outwardly display the trait they could either have one copy or none!.
If they do not have a copy 100% of your children will not display the trait!. Out of each birth the child will however have a 100% percent chance of posseing the gene, and therfore they will be a carrier!.

If they have one copy out of each birth the child will have a 50% chance of having heterochromia and being able to pass it on or a 50% chance of being a carrier!.

This is all assuming that heterochromia behaves in the way other genes for eye colour do!. It might also be a genetic mutation which did not harm the body, so it was not eliminated!. If it is a mutation who knows how the gene will behaveWww@Answer-Health@Com
