Flashing lights is a sign of something going on with your retina!. It can be serious if you also see floaters (black spots crossing your vision, cobwebs, shadows, etc!.) Definitely see an ophthalmogist ASAP about the flashing lights! this is never something you ignore!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your vision may be normal but flashes of light are not normal!. You need to make an appointment with your optometrist!. You should have a dilated retinal exam!. They may be related to your severe headaches, called an ocular migraine, but you really need to seen in the very near future to make sure it's not a more serious probably like a retinal detachment or the beginnings of one!. If caught early enough, they can treat that before you go blind!. If left untreated, there is no going back once you have lost your vision!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't want to scare you, but the same thing (light flashes) happened to me, and it turned out to be a detached retina!. They scheduled surgery the following day!.

There are other causes, so that may not necessarily be the case with you!. But there's no room for guessing and assuming when it comes to your eyes!. Get to an ophthalmologist right away and have them checked!. If it's serious, you could save your eyesight!. If it's not, you'll have peace of mind!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
