Wearing glasses for the first time, is vision supposed to be quite blurry?!

Question: Wearing glasses for the first time, is vision supposed to be quite blurry!?
Hi, I'm 23 and have just had my eyes tested (I get it free from work)
they told me that I have problems focusing my eyes properly and that it takes a long time to do so!.
I'm farsighted, +1 in my left eye and +0!.75 in my right and was prescribed glasses because I am getting headaches nearly daily!.

I've been told to keep them on for 2 weeks to get used to them but everything from a distance is pretty blurry (although I can eventually focus on it) and magnified, although up close is much better I can still feel tension in my eyes!.

Is it due to me not having a prescription for 23 years and now my eyes are adjusting, I've had them on for 2 days now!.
they also have an anti glare coating on, i'm not sure if this has anything to do with it!?
I'm hoping this is normal and my brain just needs to get used to seeing properly rather than over correcting and screwing with my vision, when I take them off my vision is quite distorted but slowly returns!.

Any advice!?
Thanks DanWww@Answer-Health@Com

When I first started wearing glasses this happened to me, too!. It didn't take 2 weeks but it took more than a week!. Now if I try to read a lot without them I get headaches!.

I don't think the glare coating makes it any different!. It's supposed to make it easier for computer use!.

I think you're perfectly normal! If you still have problems after 2 weeks you may want to call the office that gave you that prescription and ask them what to do!. Tylenol might help with the headaches!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think you should have Bi focal galsses Dan that way when you have them on you can see great both far away and close!.
The anti glare is a good thing to have and that is'nt causeing you any problem, if the glasses you are talking about are just for reading your eyes should adjust fairly quickly when you take them off!.!.!.less than a minute or so!.
hope this helps and good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

getting used to the glasses are only practice wearing ON AND OFF till you get used to the glasses and it take time to a point you may have to practice which will result in better--- vision latterWww@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe my experience is different because I first started wearing glasses when I was little and I'm nearsighted!. But what I've noticed is much clearer vision with each new prescription, not worse!.

Are you supposed to wear your glasses for distance!? My only experience with + diopter glasses is purely for reading (I'm 50!.) For distance, I take them off and just go with my normal prescription!.

Who told you to wait 2 weeks!? If it was your eye doctor, then I'd say do as they suggested!. If not, call them and ask!. You may want to ask them if they meant for you to wear them all the time or just for close work like computers or reading!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
