My eyeballs are dry! Help contact lens problem?!

Question: My eyeballs are dry! Help contact lens problem!?
Hey guys, I woke up this morning and again my eyes felt so dry!.

I have been to the opticians about this before and they said it was because I wear my contacts too much!. So now I wear glasses more often, but it doesn't seem to be working!.

I woke up this morning - I didn't even had the heater on! and my eyes were so dry!.

So my question is, is there anything else I can do any home remedies!?!?!? I have tried eye drops but they don't seem to do much either and sometimes burn!.

ThanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

I am an optician with contacts and dry eye issues as well!. Here are 10 things to try!. Good luck!

#1 Take a flax seed oil suppliment!.!.!.it will help make your tears less likely to evaporate!. It might take a month or so to see results so just take it every day and keep taking it!. It has Omega 3's so it is also good for your body!.

#2 Use OPTIVE!. You can use it with or without your contacts!. It is over the counter!. Use it before you go to bed! When you wake up! All day! It works wonders!

#3 Put a humidifier in your room for use at night when the heater is running!.

#4 Drink 8 glasses of water a day!. really!. It does made a dif!.

#5!. Use makeup and makeup removers that are for more sensative eyes!. Wash your face with warm water before you go to bed!.

#6!. Wear your glasses at least 2 hours before you go to bed so your eyes can breath before you shut them down for the night!. Pick one day a week to be completely contact lens free!. This makes a big difference to some people!.

#7!. Clean your contacts well and make sure you switch them out when you are supposed to!.

#8 If you are prone to allergies try Zatidor once before you go to bed and once in the morning at lseat 10 minutes before you put your contacts in!. It is also over the counter, but it is NOT compatible with your contacts!.!.!.only use it twice a day!.!.!.more will not make a difference!.

#9Try to stay off of the computer as much as possible!. When on the computer most people do not blink enough and this causes issues especially for contact lens wearers!. The best thing is to try to stay off of it when you do not need to be on it!.

#10 Ask your doctor about Rx Restasis!. It takes about 2 months to take hold, but it works for most people who have dry eye syndrome!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'd say stop wearing the contacts altogether for a couple of weeks and keep using moisturizing drops (just make sure you're not using some made for contacts)!. That way your eyes have a chance to re-balance!. If after a couple of weeks of no contacts whatsoever, it still doesn't go away then you might want to go back to the Dr!.

BTW, I'd be wary of home remedies, usually I fully agree with trying them, but when it comes to your eyesight, better safe than trying something some random person on the internet swears by and go blind!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like you maybe wearing the contacts too much!. I now only wear mine at the weekends and if I go out in the evening!. Do you spend a lot of time in an air conditioned place or use a computer at work because that won't help!. You could try talking to a pharmacist about different types of eye drops, but you can really only follow your optician's advice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

home remedy --you have asked for, is to give hot fermentation to the eyelids to increase the blood supply to the lids, with warm water ---and also you can use the INFRA RED RAYS to warm the lids closing the lids ---more than all exposing to excessive CHILL weather, you should know that all blood vessels undergo contraction leading altered function---to get over the crisis you can use the antibiotic eye drops before going to bed and after getting up --- and also see your eye doctor for good remedyWww@Answer-Health@Com

quit on the contacts wear them for lesser amount of hours or not at all for awhile!. are you wear ing them overnight and when they are in are u constantly putting the contact lens eyedrops in there to ensure that your eyes will have moisture!? If so then you should go see your doctorWww@Answer-Health@Com

Have you tried the special eye drops you can get for when your wearing your contacts too, ive tried that, it does help a little!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'd have to say go back to the Optometrist!. They'd probably have the best solution!.
