Question: What does this mean when I see flashes of light!?
I do have a history of visual hallucinations with my psychotic depression among other things!. Sometimes I see little specks of light that go out as quickly as they appeared!. These are mostly noticeable in the dark!. Today I seen a fluttering of white light in my Peripheral vision of my right eye!. It seems that most of this stuff has been happening in my right eye!. I could be wrong, but that's what it seems!. Now I have been having visual hallucinations like these for about two years and they vary in intensity!. I'm worried these may be warning signs of a retinal detachment, but like I said I've been seeing this stuff for two years and I thought retinal detachments were acute!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it could be a retinal detachment!. ASK YOUR DOCTOR!. and your right, retinal detachments don't happen in 2 years!.!.!. the biggest thing is to ASK YOUR DOCTOR!. (sorry for the caps, its just really important)!. describe your symptoms, get your eyes checked, because, you know when u get your eyes diluted, they see behind your pupil, right!? they check to see if everything is ok behind your eye!. if it doesn't look normal, or maybe it has a white cut in the middle, ask your doctor if he/she saw that!. that would be a detached retina!. hope this helps!. good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
